GEOcaching

PDF Print E-mail

GEOcaching is treasure hunting for the 21st century.

With an easy to use, hand-held GPS (Global Positioning System) you navigate to different locations and when you get there you open the cache or find out the secret.

A day's geocaching from Climb8, Barmouth, costs from £10 per gps unit/group, including map and hire of one GPS unit, loaded with caches in the memory.
You must leave a deposit of £50 for the GPS. If you have your own GPS the day costs £5.50

GEOcaching  - get involved yourself!
ImageGEOcaching is an international sport - enthusiasts place caches all over the country, almost all over the world! Details of the caches are then posted on the GEOcaching website, for other enthusiasts to go and find. There are some caches within 10 miles of the Barmouth, only one of which we created. The caches are filled with items and each time you find a cache you can take something out, as long as you put something else back in its place.
So if you've been bitten by the bug doing one of our trails why not get involved in the real thing - you can buy a GPS from around £80, visit the GEOcaching website to find out more - a link is included on this page.

Q.When do I receive my deposit back?
A. Your deposit is refunded to your credit card once we have received and checked the product to be in its original working condition.
